EMERGENCY ROAD RESTRICTION
BEAVERHEAD-DEERLODGE NATIONAL FOREST
PINTLER RANGER DISTRICT
Pursuant to 36 CFR, Section 261.50(a) and (b) and 36 CFR, Part 295, the following acts are prohibited on the Sand Basin Road described in this order on the Pintler Ranger District within the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest from August 27, 2009 through September 3, 2009 or until the fire emergency is over.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.54(a) National Forest System Roads.
The road closure description follows with a map attachment.
The forest roads described below are closed to all motorized vehicles, all foot and horse travel for public safety.
Location description -
Sand Basin Road (FS #5070) from the junction of Sand Basin and Bowles Creek Roads (#5071), beginning in T5N, R17W, section 10/11 to its end (T5N, R17W, sec 35), including all spur roads and trails originating within the closed portion.
Pursuant to 36 CFR, Section 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:
(1) Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
(4) Any federal, state, local officer or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in the performance of an official duty.

Violation of this order is prohibited by the provisions of the regulations cited, and under 7 USC 1011(f), 16 USC 551 and 18 USC 3571. Any violation is subject to punishment by a fine of not more than $5,000 or imprisonment of not more than six months or both.
