Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks will open Placid Lake water body on Wednesday, August 29; however, the state park, including the campground, day-use area, and public boat ramp will not open until Friday, August 31st.
The lake and state park have been closed for most of August for public safety related to the Jocko Lakes Fire. For additional details on fire and drought-related restrictions and closures go to the FWP website home page at fwp.mt.gov and select Drought and Fire.
