Released: 8/17/2007

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 17, 2007

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials lifted the closure at the Salmon Lake State Park day-use area today. The park, located just off Highway 83 about five miles south of Seeley Lake, has been closed since Aug. 6 due to fire danger in the area.

The day-use picnic area and boat launch are now open to all public access, but the campground at Salmon Lake State Park will remain closed until further notice.
