SPECIAL ORDER

TRAIL CLOSURE

GALLATIN NATIONAL FOREST

LIVINGSTON RANGER DISTRICT

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited on Forest Service Systems Lands described in this order.

All persons are prohibited from being upon the following Forest Development Trails, Title 36 CFR 261.52(e):

These restrictions are in addition to those enumerated in Subpart A, Part 261, title 36 CFR, become effective immediately, and will remain in effect until rescinded or revoked.

See Exhibit A map.

The reason for closure is to provide for public safety due to hazards created from recent wildfire activity in the area.

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

1) Persons with a permit issued by a Forest Officer specifically authorizing prohibitive act;

2) Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

Penalty: Violation of these prohibitions is punishable by fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both
