- August 19, 2007 12:00 p.m. MT - Members of the Fire Department of New York have been working with PNW Team 3 on the Skyland Fire. Fire Department of New York has continued to send select firefighters to work with Incident Management Teams as a training exercise.
Fire Department of New York firefighters working at Skyland Fire include: Chris Flattley, who has been working in the documentation unit. He is a Lieutenant with Ladder Company 21 in Manhattan's Hells Kitchen. Patrick Cleary has been serving as an Incident Information Officer and is a Captain for Engine Company 59 in Manhattan, Harlem. Tom Luby joined the check-in staff at Skyland. In his day job, Tom works at EMS Planning Headquarters for FDNY.
PNW Team 3 has enjoyed an excellent, long standing, relationship with the Firefighters from FDNY, starting with the response to September 11, 2001, again in response to Hurricane Katrina and on a number of wildland fire incidents.
