The Beaverhead - Deerlodge National Forest will be moving to Stage 2 Fire Restrictions on Thursday, July 26th. Stage 2 restrictions mean a ban on all open fires (in and out of campgrounds) and smoking is restricted to vehicles and cleared areas only. These restrictions also limit the operation of chainsaws or other engines, blasting, welding, and similar activities from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. A two hour patrol is required after stopping these activities. Driving off designated roads and trails is prohibited.
