KLAMATH NATIONAL FOREST
EMERGENCY CLOSURE
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and (b), and to protect public safety, the following acts are prohibited within the Klamath National Forest. Areas and trails affected by this order are shown on Exhibit A. This order is effective from July 13th, 2007, until the wildfires in the area are fully suppressed.
·1. Being upon the Elk Creek Trail (#8E051) from its beginning at Norcross Campground in the SW¼ of Sec. 33, T. 44 N., R. 8 E., Humboldt Meridian, to its intersection with the Tickner Trail (#8E07) in the NE ¼ of Sec. 18, T. 43 N., R. 3 E., Humboldt Meridian.

·2. Being upon the Lower Bear Lake Trail (#8E06), from its beginning at Norcross Campground in SW¼ of Section 33, T. 44 N., R. 8 E., Humboldt Meridian, to Bear Lake in the SW ¼ of Sec. 27, T. 44 N., R. 12 W., Mt. Diablo Meridian.

·3. Being within 300 yards of Bear Lake, located in Sec. 27, Township 44 North, R.12 W., Mt. Diablo Meridian.

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order.
·1. Persons with a permit from the Forest Service specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
·2. Any Federal, State, or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.
These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.

A violation of these prohibitions is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both.
