AREA CLOSURE
All persons are prohibited from going into or being upon National Forest Service System Lands within the area described below and depicted in the attached map (Attachment A), Title 36 CFR 261.53(e). These restrictions supercede those in Order #07-11-07-07, are effective immediately, and will remain in effect until rescinded.
AREA: All National Forest System Lands within the following area: beginning at the south bank of the Madison River where it crosses U.S. Highway 191, west along the south bank of the Madison River and Madison Arm of Hebgen Lake to the Madison Arm Resort marina, southwest to the Madison Arm Road #291at its junction with Forest Road #1731, then west along the south edge of the Madison Arm Road to the junction with Forest Road #6699 (in T13S, R4E, section 2), then south along and including Forest Road #6699 to its junction with the Madison Arm Road #291 (in T13 S, R4E, section 24), then south along the east edge of the Madison Arm Road #291 to its junction with U.S. Highway 20, then east along the northern edge of the U.S. Highway 20 right-of-way to the State of Montana-airport land boundary, then north and east along the State of Montana-airport land boundary to where it intersects Forest Road #287K, then north along the west edge of Forest Road #287K to its junction with U.S. Highway 191, then north along the west edge of the U.S. Highway 191 right-of-way to the point of beginning.
The reason for the closure is to provide for public safety in the area.
Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(c), the following persons are exempt from this order:
·1. Persons with a permit issued by a Forest Officer specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.
2. Any Federal, State or local officer, or member of an organized rescue or firefighting force in performance of an official duty.
