NATIONAL FOREST SYSTEM TRAILS

OKANOGAN-WENATCHEE NATIONAL FOREST

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(a) and (b) the following acts are prohibited on designated portions of National Forest System (NFS) Lands and Trails on the Wenatchee River and Cle Elum Ranger Districts of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest within the area described below and shown on the attached map.

1. Being on the Road.

For the purpose of this order, this restriction prohibits all methods of travel or being on the following National forest System Roads: {36CFR 261.54(e)]

Fortune Creek Road No. 4330-170 from its beginning in T23N R14E SE1/4 Sec. 14 to its end.

2. Being on the Trail.

For the purpose of this order, this restriction prohibits all methods of travel on the following National Forest System Trails as described below: [36CFR 261.55(a)]

Paddy Go Easy Pass Trail No. 1595 beginning at its trailhead on Road 4330 (T24N R14E SW¼ Sec.34) to its junction with French Creek Trail No. 1595.

Scatter Creek Trail No. 1328 beginning at its trailhead on Road 4330 (T23N R14E SW¼ Sec.2) to its end at the Kittitas County - Chelan County line (T23N R15E Sec.5).

North Scatter Creek Trail No. 1328.1 beginning at its trailhead on Road 4330 (T23N R14E SW¼ Sec.2) to its end at the Kittitas County - Chelan County line (T24N R15E Sec.36).

Esmerelda Basin Trail No. 1394 from its trailhead at Road 9737 (T23N R15E SW¼ Sec.35) to its junction with Lake Ann Trail No. 1226.2 at Gallagher Head Lake (T23N R15E NE¼ Sec.33).

Lake Ann Trail No. 1226.2 from its beginning at Fortune Creek Jeep Trail No. 4W301 to its junction with Scatter Creek Trail no. 1328 (T23N R14E NE¼ Sec. 1).

Ingalls Way Trail No. 1390 from its beginning at the Esmerelda Basin Trail No. 1394 (T23N R15E SW¼ Sec.35) to its junction at Stuart Pass (T23N R15 SE¼ Sec.13) with Ingalls Creek Trail No. 1215.

Longs Pass Trail No. 1229 from its junction with the Ingalls Way Trail No. 1390 (T23N R15E NE¼ Sec.35) to its junction with Ingalls Creek Trail No. 1215. (T23N R15E NE¼ Sec. 25.)

Fortune Creek Jeep Trail No. 4W301 from its junction with Road 4330 (T23N R14E SE¼ Sec.14) to its junction with Trail No. 4W304 at Gallagher Head Lake (T23N R15E NE¼ Sec.33).

Van Epps Jeep Trail No. 4W302 from its junction with Fortune Creek Jeep Trail No. 4W301 (T23N R15E SW¼ Sec.17). to its end at Van Epps Mine (T23N R15E NE¼ Sec.16).

Ingalls Creek Trail No. 1215 from its junction with Turnpike Trail No. 1391 (T23N R16E NW¼ Sec. 30) to Stuart Pass (T23N R15 SE¼ Sec.13).

Blackjack Ridge Trail No. 1565 from its trailhead at Road 7600 (T24N R15E NW¼ Sec.2) to its junction with Snowall-Cradle Trail No. 1560 (T24N R15E SW¼ Sec. 15).

Snowall-Cradle Trail No. 1560 from its junction with Blackjack Ridge Trail No. 1565 (T24N R15E SW¼ Sec. 15) to its junction with French Creek Trail No. 1595 (T24N R14E NW¼ Sec.1)

French Creek Trail No. 1595 from its junction with Icicle Creek Trail No. 1551 (T25N R15E SE1/4 Sec. 27) to its end at Meadow Pass (T24N R14E N½ Sec.25).

Icicle Creek Trail No. 1551 from its trailhead at Road 7600 (T24N R14E NE¼ Sec.3) to its junction with the Frosty Creek Trail No. 1592 (T25N R15E N½ Sec.20).

Jack Creek Trail No. 1558 beginning at the trailhead (T24N R15E NW¼ Sec. 1) to its end at Stuart Pass (T23N R15 SE1/4 Sec.13).

Van Epps Trail No. 1594 beginning at Van Epps Pass (T23N R15E NE ¼ Sec 16) to its end at the junction with Jack Creek Trail No. 1558 (T24N R15E Sec.34).

Trout Creek Trail No. 1555 beginning at the junction with Jack Creek Trail No. 1558 (T24N R15E SW¼ Sec.1) to its end at the junction with Eightmile-Trout Trail No. 1554.

Jack Ridge Trail No. 1557 beginning at the junction with Jack Creek Trail No. 1558 to its junction with the Eightmile-Trout Trail No. 1554.

Meadow Creek Trail No. 1559 beginning at its junction with Jack Creek Trail No. 1558 and ending at Meadow Pass (T24N R14E N½ Sec.25).

Eightmile-Trout Trail No. 1554 beginning at the junction with Trout Creek Trail No. 1555 and ending at Windy Pass (T24N R16E S½ Sec.20).

2. Going into or being upon any area closed for the protection of public health or safety. For the purpose of this order, this restriction prohibits going into or being upon any area closed for the protection of public health and safety, and includes all system and non-system trails and routes within the area described below: [36 CFR 261.53 (e)]

Beginning at the Icicle Creek Trailhead in T24N R15E NE¼ Sec 3, then following and including Icicle Creek Trail No. 1551 northerly and westerly to its junction with the French Creek Trail No. 1595 (T25N R15E SE¼ Sec.27), then following and including the French Creek Trail No. 1595 southerly and westerly to its junction with Paddy Go Easy Trail No.1595 (T24N R14E SE ¼ Sec. 26), then following and including the Paddy Go Easy Trail No. 1595 southerly and westerly to its trailhead at Road No.4330 (T24N R14E NW¼ Sec.34), then following but not including Road No 4330 to Fortune Creek Road No. 4330-170 (T23N R14E SE ¼ Sec. 14), then following and including Fortune Creek Jeep Trail No. 4W301 to its junction with the Section Line between Sections 28 and 33 just north of Gallagher Head Lake (T23N R15E NE¼ Sec.33), then following that Section Line due east to the corner of T23 N R15E Sections 25 and 36 and T23N R16E Sections 30 and 31, then proceeding due north to the prominent ridge just west of the summit of Mount Stuart, then following the crest of this ridge known as Jack Ridge northerly to the summit of Eightmile Mountain (T24N R16E Sec. 31) and continuing along this ridge to Windy Pass (T24N R16E S½ Sec.20); then continuing northeast along the ridge to the section corner of T24N R16E Sections 16, 17, 20 and 21; continuing northerly along the Section Line between Sections 16 and 17 to the boundary of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness; continuing along this boundary to the Icicle Creek Trailhead at the end of Road No. 7600 (T24N R15E NE ¼ Sec. 3).

This order is effective beginning on the date signed below and will remain in effect

until rescinded.

Pursuant to 36 CFR 261.50(e), the following persons are exempt from this order:

·1. Persons with a permit specifically authorizing the otherwise prohibited act or omission.

·2. Any Federal, State or local officer or member of any organized rescue or fire fighting force in the performance of an official duty.

These prohibitions are in addition to the general prohibitions in 36 CFR Part 261, Subpart A.
