Summary

The Stage 1 Pre-evacuations for all areas affected by the Rombo Mountain Fire have been lifted.

Timber (litter and understory) with heavy bug-killed timber and a dense canopy.

Fire Behavior

No fire growth during the day. Observed Fire behavior was low with creeping and smoldering in the heavy fuels and sheltered timber stands. Most of the fire activity was in the south (DIV H) in and around Drop and Overwhich Creeks.

Significant Events

Continue mopping up and patroling the fire. Continue line restoration, remove unneeded equipment.

Outlook

Planned Actions

Div A/B/C, D, H, and Z continue to patrol, hauling out unused equipment, and fireline restoration. Div E and F/G continue restoration of lines where able and patrol.

This is a long term event requiring management actions until the end of the fire season. Current management actions should succeed if weather conditions remain trending toward a fall pattern.

Remarks

Preparations are being made to break down the Sula Camp; the plan is to have this accomplished on Monday the 10th.

Lines held well today and the forecast looks good for the weekend.
