Wind shear from tornado-like fire behavior snapped trees during the Fletcher Fire

Summary
The Fletcher Fire is 100% contained. Controlled was attained Sunday, July 29. The fire will continue to be patrolled through the summer.
A burned area emergency rehabilitation assessment was done and soils are were stabilized to lessen the effects of erosion in steep areas and raparian zones.
The fire burned 8,121 acres: 2,207 acres on Modoc NF land and 4,399 acres of private land. Of those acres, 1,515 acres are in Oregon.
