The Kendall Mountain Fire started from a lightning strike on August 1. The fire is burning in high, steep, rocky terrain in the Bridger Wilderness, east of Boulder Basin in the Upper Green River Valley. Smoke can be seen from Pinedale and surrounding communities.

Very minimal due to moisture received recently over the fire area.
A local engine crew will be monitoring the fire every other day depending on current levels of moisture received. Provide information to the recreating public as needed.
