July 23, 2013 - The Rough Creek fire is 100% contained and the Ranger District is managing the mop-up of this incident. The area closure has been lifted.

1 short grass (1 foot) Fuel model 2, timber and grass on northern edge of fire at higher elevations.
Minimal fire activity in the lower elevation of the division. Some remaining unburned pockets of fuel and heavy logs continue to burn themselves out within the interior of the fire.
Fireline resources are mopping up 2 chains in Divisions A and F and waterbarring handlines. Division Z is mopping up 300 feet from structures on County Road 1614, waterbarring handlines, and is available for initial attack in the TFR.Fire area is experiancing continued hot temperatures. Demobilization of excess resoures and personnel continues.
Secure fireline and complete mop-up in Division F, specifically in Gus Creek area. Divisions A and Z will be monitored for remaining smokes. ICP will be relocated to Slate Creek Ranger Station.
Transition from ICT2 back to local unit on Friday, July 19 at 2000 hours. TFR will be removed on July 19 at 0800. Initial attack responsibility will return to the local district when the TFR is removed.
