The Post Fire started in the Trinity Pines area at approximately 1525 hours.
Firefighters are actively engaged in an aggressive initial attack.
There are approximately 6 Aircraft, 9 Engines, 4 Crews, and 2 Dozers engaged on this fire.
At 1800 all Tactical Aircraft were released from the Post Fire.
At 1900 the Post Fire is 70% contained with 100% containment expected at midnight tonight.
A very aggressive initial attack was possible due to the immediate availability of fire suppression resources.
The aggressive and sucessful action has resulted in slowing the spread of this wildfire and is permitting the release some resources back to readiness in preparation for response to the next wildfire.
More accurate mapping has resulted in revising the size of the Post fire. The fire is now estimated to be 4.3 acres and is comprised of three separately contained fires.
The Post fire was contained at 11:38 pm on 10/02/2012.
Containment is defined as: "The status of a wildfire suppression action signifying that a control line has been completed around the fire, and any associated spot fires, which can reasonably be expected to stop the fire's spread."
