Incident Overview
This human caused wildland fire was detected on September 22, 2012 at approximately 3:20 pm. Initial attack was hampered by wind (wind driven fire), topography (steep terrain), low fuel moistures and humidity, and resource needs. Based on the high probability this fire would continue to spread it was determined to order an Incident Management Team from the Northern Rockies Coordination Center. Range land and commercial timber resources are at risk from this fire burning in Grass and Timber fuel types.
Management of this fire was sucessfully returned to the Northern Cheyenne Agency at 0600 on Sept 29th, 2012, and the Heintz IMT demobilized.
