The Chall Creek Fire started on the Big Piney Ranger District Sunday, September 16, at approximately 2 pm. It burned in timber and sage. The fire began on Forest lands and quickly spread to adjacent private property.

All closures have been lifted, however, hazards still exist in the vicinity of the fire. For information on the dangers snags present, read the Hazard Tree Advisory.

The fire was declared out on October 25, at 1:15 pm.
