The Rosebud Fire is 100% contained Setember 1, 2012, at 8:00 AM. A strike team of engines will remain on the fire for the next 3-4 days to rehabilitate firelines and patrol for hot spots.

Thuderstorm passed over fire at 1300 hrs. windtesting fire lines. All lines held.
Greg Poncin's Type 1 Incident Management Team assumed command of the fire yesterday at 6:00 am. Poncin's team was mobilized to the Pine Creek Fire near Livingston, MT later in the day. The Rosebud fire is in transition back to the Montana Department of Natural Resources for management. The fire is 100% contained today.
