The Goff fire is burning in heavy timber with many snags and understory.

Fire Behavior

The Goff Fire continues to back into adjacent drainages. Rollout of hot material is generating upslope runs. Temperature inversion prevented good observation of actural acreage and fire spread.

Significant Events

Type 2 Incident Manaage Team inbriefed today. Goff Fire plus three other fires on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest (Hello Fire, Liock Fire, and Fruit Fire)will be managed as the Fort Complex.

Outlook

Planned Actions

Type 2 Incident Management Team will plan on taking over the fire at 0600 on Friday, August 10, 2012. No fire suppression engagement will take place until then.
