Incident Overview
The Crystal Fire is located approximately 10 miles northwest of Masonville, Colo. on private land and on the Roosevelt National Forest. The fire is approximately 2,940 acres in size and is 100% contained. Management is being transitioned to a Type 4 Incident Management Team on Friday. Firefighters continue mop-up activities and patrolling in the area, with many firefighters being demobed this week. There will still be two engines and one crew working in the main fire area west of County Road 27 on Friday.
Beginning on 4/11, the information center is no longer be staffed; however, you can continue to obtain recorded updates by calling 970-498-5500. We will continue to update inciweb and http://www.larimer.org/.
For post-evacuation support call 211, or 866-485-0211. The 211 lines are staffed 24 hours, seven days a week. For emergencies call 911 or Larimer County Sheriff Dispatch at 970-416-1985.
After additional assessment, it was determined 13 homes were burned, not 15 as originally reported.
Fire restrictions continue in effect for Larimer County and on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests (see the link on the right).
