Incident Overview

The No Name Peak Prescribed Fire is designed to reduce natural accumulations of surface and ladder fuels, prepare the area for fire tolerant tree regeneration, and improve forage for big game wildlife species. This project is located approximately 9 miles NNW of Newport, WA (Section 5 T32N R45E WM). The residual overstory consists of Douglas-Fir, and Ponderosa Pine with some areas of Western Larch. Slope ranges from 30% to 60%. The project size is 200 Acres and there is 150 remaining to be treated.

The ignition method for lighting will be by hand and ignition time is set for spring only, due to the subsidence in the fall.
