Incident Overview

At 3:15 p.m. Thursday, August 27 Texas Forest Service resources were requested to assist local fire departments with this fire located at N32 38.75 W99 26.30 approximately 10 miles SW of Albany,TX. The fire is estimated to be 1,640 acres and is 100% contained. Six homes, 15 outbuildings, and 60 wind turbines on a large windfarm were threatened and saved. TFS resources have been released from this fire and local fire departments continue to monitor.
