LOCATION:

Kannah Creek, 18 miles SE of Grand Junction

CLOSURE WAS REVISED on 7/18. Please see the posted order and map. Generally, the area immediately along and south of Kannah Creek is now open.

Size: 1485 Acres (No change in last 3 days)

Thursday: Two fire use modules and a helitack crew monitored the fire and worked on rehab for an interior trail. The fire did not grow.

Friday: One fire use module and a helitack crew will monitor the fire and do work as needed.

Coal Creek Acrage: 1,485 Clover Acrage: 147 No change since 7/15. The area closure was revised on 7/18. Generally, the area immediately along and south of Kannah Creek are now open. Please see the posted closure order and map for details. This fire complex has been relinquished by the Fire Use Team and is being managed under the Upper COlorado River Interagency Fire Management Unit and the Grand Valley District Ranger. Inciweb information updates will not be maintained unless conditions change on the Grand Complex.
