Summary

Mitchell Gas and the Pucket Plant gas facilities were directly threatened by this fire and saved by the Texas Forest Service resources. Each of these 10 million dollar facilities produce one million dollars worth of natural gas a day. Other critical infrastructures threatened and saved included Mesa Vineyard and Sherbino I Wind Farm. Sherbino I Wind Farm is a $280 million dollar facility employing 250 people. The wind farm is 4 miles north of the leading edge of the fire and a direct threat as the windmills are in the process of being built with parts laying on the ground. Mesa Vineyards is a $10 million facility with 800 acres of vineyards producing $16 million in products annually.

Huckabee is a 91,900 acre wildfire 30 miles SE of Fort Stockton off Hwy 285. Oil wells, critical infrastructure, ranches, houses and outbuildings are all threatened by this fire.
